QA Engineer

Are you passionate about making customers successful, about solving their business challenges with technical solutions? Do you care about getting it done and getting it done right?

The QA Engineer is responsible for developing and establishing quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve system/software application issues through careful testing in order to ensure high quality in our SaaS applications.

This is an onsite position in Richmond, VA.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test scripts and plans for software changes in the company’s software products
  • Perform integrated software testing, which includes but is not limited to, ensuring the accuracy of new product features or corrections to current software functions per the business requirements prior to the release of the software
  • Track and report work completed on a daily basis
  • Work closely with software developers to clearly convey issues found and to ensure timely resolution
  • Document, track, retest and communicate test results
  • Ensure QA tasks assigned are completed as scheduled
  • Review product Release Notes and other documentation for accuracy
  • Enhance existing and recommend new QA methodologies to improve company efficiency and quality
  • Writes and maintains test automation scripts
  • Pursue continuing education, addressing analysis and upgrading of technical and testing skills

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills; including experience in running scripts and utilizing code repositories like GIT
  • Working knowledge of scrum/agile software development process
  • Exceptional skills in various Quality Assurance technologies/tools, including bug tracking and test case management tools
  • Very strong project planning and time management skills
  • Very strong development methodologies and Quality Assurance principals, including knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Job-Related Experience

Candidates should possess the following experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience with software development life cycle, testing methodologies, quality control, and quality assurance
  • Experience in systems integration and user acceptance testing
  • Experience developing and executing manual and automated test suites
  • Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design, and execution
  • Comfortable using and moving around in a Linux-based environment

Education

ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Account Representative (AR) to join our team. This person is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong partnership with assigned corporate customers by ensuring successful execution of deliverables and providing overall efficient account management. This person will also be responsible for leveraging their client knowledge to propose new solutions, consulting projects and products to drive additional revenue. In addition, the AR is responsible for ensuring quality and timely response to assigned corporate client’s support requests. The AR will coordinate training programs and materials such as law firm and corporate client documentation, audit and progress reports for assigned clients. The AR will assist Project Managers in coordinating the on-boarding of new corporate client accounts as assigned.

Essential Duties

  • Establish solid, long-term customer “trust relationships” with assigned clients and cultivate new business opportunities by diagnosing needs, presenting solutions and addressing customer concerns
  • Educate corporate customers on the benefits of Acuity Management Solutions services over competitors and train customers for optimal productivity
  • Responsible for forecasting new revenue opportunities and driving deals to closure, gathering intelligence on competitor activity, and giving feedback to marketing and management
  • Act as point of contact for the client, provides escalation path to and from Service, attend to customer issues promptly
  • Coordinate training of assigned corporate clients and law firms
  • Coordinate with Project Managers / Implementation Team with the on-boarding of newly assigned corporate accounts, including corporate client and law firm set up and training
  • Ensure cross-training so that all support staff are familiar with CRM’s corporate client sites
  • Advocate on behalf of assigned clients internally to align development resources

Qualifications/Experiences

  • Four-year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years experience with sales or account management, customer support, customer/executive relationship management
  • Strong interpersonal skills – particularly as they relate to customer service
  • Very strong communication skills – both oral and written
  • Highly self-motivated and directed

CUSTOMER SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE (part-time)

We are looking to expand our totally awesome Customer Support team.  Are you game? This position will focus on providing training and support to all Acuity customers.  Daily responsibilities include answering toll-free calls from members, troubleshooting issues with Acuity’s services, and providing online support and training to our users. This position is part-time and will cover the hours of 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm EST. We will need you in the office during your training period. After training is complete, you can opt to work from home.

Essential Duties

  • Respond to customer calls and emails
  • Research and resolve legal billing issues
  • Provide first-level support for Acuity’s clients
  • Schedule and train new law firms/members
  • Document client and users issues, and follow through to ensure resolution
  • Enter and maintain user, firm and client information in Acuity Administration database
  • Develop and maintain user documentation

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Support an Agile Software Development process, working in conjunction with end users/stakeholders and technical delivery team.
  • Work directly with system engineers, product managers, quality control and customers to define features and technical user stories.
  • Develop and lead the review of feature-level design documents.
  • Work directly with the technical teams to track, size, prioritize and plan the implementation for features and user stories. 
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that is aligned with product strategy.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting the successful team completion of sprint goals.
  • Ensure quality by providing documentation, features, and user stories.
  • Demo team products to stakeholders and customers.
